Held in Changsha, Hunan Province on November 20th-21st, the 10th Smart University CIO Forum was organized by a consortium of leading institutions, including the Smart University CIO Organizing Committee, the Computer Education Committee of the Hunan Higher Education Association, and the Jiangxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Cyberspace Security Intelligent Perception. Under the theme “Digital Education, Intelligent Integration, and Cultivating Virtue”, the forum fostered in-depth discussions on frontier topics like smart campuses, AI-enhanced teaching, and data-driven management. The agenda spotlighted key advancements and practical case studies in generative AI, 5G integration, data governance, cyber security, and incubating talent for the future, all aimed at accelerating the innovative fusion of information technology and modern education.

The current forum brought together experts, scholars, and industry representatives from over a hundred universities across the country. They engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as AI facilitating the digital and intelligent transformation of higher education, data-driven innovations in educational management, exploring new pathways for AI + digital education, and AI-driven transformations in talent cultivation models. The forum systematically analyzed the broad potential and practical outcomes of related technologies.

The forum formed a review committee with authoritative experts from industry-education associations, the Smart University Expert Committee, media organizations, and other relevant entities. After in-depth discussions and rigorous assessments, the committee finalized shortlists for various awards. Following comprehensive deliberations and voting, the 2025 "Lingyun Awards" winners were confirmed. Our university earned two collective honors: the "Smart University AI Large Model Innovation Excellence Award" and the "Smart    University · Innovative Pioneer University Award." Additionally, Yuan Wenhao, Deputy Director of the Data Resources Department under the Information Technology Center, was named a "Pioneer in University Digital Transformation." These achievements fully reflect our university’s leading edge and exemplary role in smart campus development and digital innovation.

Faced with the rapid iteration of information technology, our university has proactively seized emerging opportunities of the times, identifying digitalization as a key new-quality productive force that drives the institution’s high-quality development. With artificial intelligence as the core engine and the construction of a distinctive medical school digital transformation system as a critical starting point, we are fully committed to advancing the “Double First-Class” initiative and comprehensively enhancing the quality of education and teaching.
