On November 19, Wang Shize, Director of the University Development and Planning Office, along with Deputy Director Lin Xinbiao, visited the Information Technology Center. The purpose of the visit was to conduct a special research session focused on reviewing the progress of informatization during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and formulating the framework for the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan. The meeting was attended by Wang Chaojie, Director of the Information Technology Center, Deputy Director Ying Yifan, and heads of relevant departments.

Director Wang Chaojie presented an overview of the key achievements in informatization development under the 14th Five-Year Plan. He also put forward proposals for the 15th Five-Year Plan period, covering areas such as team building, infrastructure upgrades, data governance, artificial intelligence applications, and the development of smart teaching environments. Additionally, he analyzed current bottlenecks and suggested corresponding directions for improvement. He emphasized the need for systematic efforts in top-level design, institutional guarantees, resource investment, and inter-departmental collaboration to build a university-level informatization and artificial intelligence ecosystem .

Director Wang Shize commended the Information Technology Center for its remarkable accomplishments. He stressed that the specialized informatization plan for the 15th Five-Year Plan should revolve around three core missions: supporting innovation in medical education, facilitating cutting-edge scientific research, and enabling intelligent management. He highlighted the importance of advancing AI empowerment and deepening data governance. Furthermore, he pointed out that by enhancing talent recruitment, cultivation, and improving university-department collaborative mechanisms, the strategic role of the Information Technology Center in driving the university's digital transformation could be significantly strengthened.

Other participants from both offices put forward suggestions on topics including infrastructure enhancement, improvement of data service mechanisms, and specialized AI planning. A consensus was reached to adopt a problem-oriented, goal-driven, and collaborative approach. This agreement laid a solid foundation for drafting the 15th Five-Year Plan for informatization and AI development.
