Wenzhou Telecom Visits WMU to Deepen Collaboration
  

Recently, the Wenzhou Branch of China Telecom Corporation Limited visited our university. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics such as talent cultivation, graduate employment cooperation, and AI-enabled campus governance, with the aim of establishing a new mutually beneficial framework for university-enterprise collaboration.


Zhu Xuebo, a member of the University Party Committee and Vice President, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Also present were representatives from the Information Technology Center, the Development Planning Office, the School of Stomatology, the Department of Security and Protection, and other relevant departments.



The delegation from the Wenzhou Branch of China Telecom was led by Lu Jiehui, Deputy General Manager, and included heads and technical experts from the Government and Enterprise Customer Department, the Technology Department, and other divisions.



Vice President Zhu Xuebo noted at the meeting that, with the deepening application of artificial intelligence and big data technologies in medical education and campus management, the university has been actively seeking high-quality partners. Through collaboration, the university aims to cultivate interdisciplinary talents who possess both medical and information technology expertise, thereby enhancing students' employability and development potential. Mrs.Zhu also expressed the hope to jointly explore innovative approaches in AI application technologies under the "integration of engineering and medicine" initiative with the Wenzhou Branch of China Telecom Corporation Limited.


Lu Jiehui, Deputy General Manager of China Telecom's Wenzhou Branch, introduced the company's technological strengths and collaboration priorities.Manger Lu stated that China Telecom will provide comprehensive technical support for the university's AI-driven campus governance and scientific research, aligned with the "integration of engineering and medicine" initiative.


The consensus reached at this meeting has laid a solid foundation for the two parties' in-depth cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation, scientific research innovation, and smart campus development. It also marks the beginning of a new chapter in jointly exploring innovative approaches to the "integration of engineering and medicine" initiative, setting a future benchmark for university-enterprise collaboration.
